The theme of the activity is “Halloween”, which aims to let students understand western culture, cultivate oral English ability and stimulate enthusiasm for English learning. At the beginning of the activity, the students read quickly to find out the answers according to the questions provided by Nicola. They also learned the history of Halloween and related stories in the form of quiz. In the following Bingo game session, students actively participated in the study of Halloween related vocabulary. Then, the students used paper, pens, sticks and so on to display their ideas, and made pumpkins. At three p.m., the English salon exchange activities ended in watching Halloween related cartoons. After the activity, some students stayed longer and talked with Nicola.

英语沙龙活动的成功举办为爱好英语的同学们搭建了一个锻炼英语能力，施展才华的平台，提供了良好的英语学习氛围。同学们受益匪浅，并期待下次活动的开展。设计学院英语教研室也将继续努力，为同学们组织更多更精彩的英语活动。
The successful holding of the English Salon provides a platform for English-loving students to exercise their English ability and display their talents, and provides a good atmosphere for English learning.
