GAD Rethinking Hutong Exhibition

 

 

12月21日，耿丹国际设计学院环境设计国际负责人陈琳邀请西班牙巴塞罗高级设计工程学院教授Juan Albert Estevan举办了“设计导学”课程展，耿丹国际设计学院院长林子杰，国际部主任田野参与了本次展览及汇报。

Chen Lin, head of the international class of Environmental Design invited professor Juan Albert Estevan of ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering, Spain to hold an course exhibition on “Design Guidance”. Lin Zijie, Dean of GAD, and Tian Ye, director of International Exchanges Department attended the exhibition and course report.

本门课程课题为“胡同再思考”，课程时间3周，课程由Juan Albert Estevan教授与陈琳老师共同授课。在课程前期，陈琳老师与Juan教授反复沟通课程细节与课题，通过阶段性、层次性教学帮助学生循序渐进的理解设计、开拓思维、掌握空间设计创意方法。

The 3-week course with a topic of Rethinking of Hutong was jointly taught by professor Juan Albert Estevan and Chen Lin. In the preparation stage of this course, Chen Lin communicated thoroughly with Juan Albert on details and course topics. They’ve decided to give this course in progressive stages so as to help students to understand what is design, how to broaden thinking scope and ways to master innovation on space design.

两位老师首先通过水墨知觉探索workshop打破学生思维限制，又通过12项设计原则、头脑风暴、思维地图、情绪板、材质及色彩拼贴、空间氛围营造等设计思维创意训练方法启发学生开展创意设计实验。课程辅助现场教学、实地调研、情景式教学等各种形式帮助学生更好地理解环境设计。

Firstly, the teachers tried to break students’ limits of thinking with an Ink Wash Perception Exploration Workshop. Then, they tried to inspire students to experiment on innovation design with creative thinking training methods including 12 design principles, brainstorm, mind maps, emotion boards, jigsaw of material and colors, space atmosphere creation etc. The course also took various forms such as on-site teaching, field research, and situational teaching to help students better understand environmental design.

最终通过一系列的创意思考方法，学生重新思考了胡同，并通过创意发散及问题提出，确定各自不同的功能主题，营造“茶主题”、“酒吧”、“民宿”、“主题餐厅”、“汉文化”等空间氛围。最终合力完成胡同再思考主题，课程结合了城市规划、景观设计、建筑设计、室内设计等综合训练，打破专业壁垒，帮助学生站在全局角度来思考设计。

Finally, through a series of creative thinking methods, students rethought about hutong, and came up with proposals creatively. They settled down on their distinctive functional themes like “tea”, “bar”, “B&B”, “theme restaurant”, “Chinese culture” etc. The course provided comprehensive training by integrating urban planning, landscape design, architectural design and interior design etc. to break down professional barriers and help students to think about design from a global perspective.

汇报现场，林子杰院长与田野主任参观并肯定了环境国际同学们的作品，并与任课老师一起参与了评分及点评。

Lin Zijie and Tian Ye visited the exhibition and gave affirmative feedback on students’ works. They also participated in the grading with teachers and commented on the works.

环境设计国际班与爱尔兰都柏林理工学院（Dublin Institute of Technology）共建环境设计国际班（双学士学位、双语授课），联合国际化资源与企业资源，致力于扩展学生的国际视野，培养具备优秀的创意设计思维，扎实的设计表达能力，了解中国设计市场的国际化、实用性人才。

International courses (double bachelor’s degree, bilingual), jointly set up by the International Class of Environmental Design and the Dublin Institute of Technology, combine international resources with corporate resources, dedicated to expanding students’ international horizons and cultivating practice-oriented talents with creative design thinking, solid design and expression skills, understanding of the internationalization of the design market in China.

耿丹国际设计学院位于北京顺义。开设有视传、环艺、产品、数媒、动画、戏美，国际艺术设计院校联盟会员。其中80%以上的教师曾海外学习，数专业开设国际双学位项目，已与国际百所大学交流并与42所大学建立合作。
