9月29日, 耿丹国际设计学院产品设计专业在艺术楼一层举行结课汇报暨 “材料与加工工艺（木工）”课程展览。本次展览作品由艺设及戏影2018级产品方向的学生创作，由陈丽君和李冰老师指导，展览了近80名学生制作的木偶模型。
Guided by instructors Chen Lijun and Li Bing, product design programme of GAD held the “Materials and Processing Technology (Woodworking)” exhibition on the first floor of the art building, which showed the puppet models that produced by nearly 80 students in the field of art design and film production of grade 2018 on September 9th

一个月的课程中，同学们首先认知了多种木材属性，学会用适合的木材和工具进行创意方案，建立以立体材料进行产品设计创意表达的职业习惯，再根据每个人的兴趣制作了代表自己特点的木偶，并进行了现场汇报。本次课程从形态认知开始进行木工产品的形态转化，期间进行工艺练习与模型制作。材料与加工工艺课程是产品设计专业第一学期的核心课程，分为木工和陶瓷工艺两部分。通过木料、陶瓷等不同材料完成规定课题，在制作过程中，学习并掌握制作工艺流程。对于培养学生的创意思维、作品理念传达及产品的实际制作能力具有重要的指导和实践意义。
During this one-month course, students recognized a variety of wood attributes at the first stage, learned to use suitable timber and tools to plan the creative programs to establish professional habits of three-dimensional material for creative expression of product design. After that, the students tried to make puppets on behalf of their own characteristics according to each person’s interest, and conducted on-site reporting. This course begins with the morphological cognition of woodworking products, with continuous practicing and model-making. Material and processing technology is the core course of the first semester of product design programme, which is divided into woodworking and ceramic technology. Students need to complete the required tasks via utilizing wood, ceramics and other different materials, learn and master the production procedure during the process. It is obvious that this course contains great guiding and practical significance to cultivate students’ creative thinking, transmission of work concept and the actual productive ability.
