GAD Students Visiting exhibition at Capital Museum

 

 

3月9日，耿丹国际设计学院环境专业“外国建筑史”课程的学生在赵一诺老师的带领下赴首都博物馆观看展览。此次观展是环境设计专业与工学院建筑专业史论课的学科融合实践教学，通过观看“巴洛克时期的西里西亚” 精品展，建立学生对于巴洛克时期的人文艺术与建筑技艺历史发展的探究。 

On March 9, the students of “History of Foreign Architecture” class from environment programme in GAD went to the Capital Museum to watch the exhibition under the leadership of the instructor Zhao Yinuo. This exhibition is a practical teaching of the integration of environmental design specialty and the history theory course of Architecture Specialty in the School of Engineering. By watching the “Silesia in Baroque Period” exhibition, students can explore the history development of Humanities and architecture in Baroque Period.

展览以“重生”为主题，呈现了17世纪下半叶西里西亚地区的历史与文化的复兴、社会生活的发展，以及巴洛克艺术和独特的手工艺的繁荣，是充分了解与鲜活地理解巴洛克艺术兴衰的重要内容。展览分为3个单元：「精英阶层的重构」、「巴洛克艺术的兴盛」、「市民生活的重建」。展现了巴洛克艺术光影变化，色彩鲜明的艺术特征；建筑与装饰艺术生动奔放，重视曲线和曲面，并大量使用金箔贴面、描金涂漆等建筑艺术特征真实地展现在同学们面前。

With the theme of “rebirth”, the exhibition presents the revival of history and culture, the development of social life, and the prosperity of Baroque art and unique handicraft in Silesia in the second half of the 17th century. It is an important content to fully understand and vividly understand the rise and fall of Baroque art. The exhibition is divided into three parts: the reconstruction of elite class, the prosperity of Baroque art and the reconstruction of citizen’s life. It shows the changing light and shadow of Baroque art and its distinctive artistic features. Architectural and decorative art is vivid and unrestrained, attaches importance to curves and surfaces, and uses a large number of architectural artistic features such as gold foil veneer, gold painting and so on to truly display in front of students.

通过建筑史课程的观展学习，使学生能够从鲜活的建筑发展的历史进程中寻找外国的文化内涵和艺术精髓，形成对建筑流派的体系特点和建筑构成形态的认知与思考，从而进行鉴赏及将经典案例运用于自身设计中。

Through the exhibition study of architectural history course, students can find the cultural connotation and artistic essence of foreign countries from the vivid historical process of architectural development, form the recognition and thinking of architectural schools’ system characteristics and architectural forms, so as to appreciate and apply classical cases to their own design.
