An education system featuring local internationalization, integrating global education resources and social resources
学院注重教育教学生态建设和资源引入方法创新。主要采取联校、联企、联外,整合了国内外艺术类院校教授、企业一线专家、学院专职教师等三支力量,已经形成了百余人的国内外教师团队。其中90%以上具有硕士以上学位, 70%以上具有企业背景, 80%以上具有海外留学经历。当下在中文班、英文班组织模式下,校企合作实践项目工作室、学期出国交换生项目、国际工作坊、企业工作坊、国际游学、国内外专家讲座等多种教育教学方式成为教学常态,在地国际化办学已经形成较完整的体系和运行规范。
GAD focuses on the ecological construction of education and teaching and innovation in the method of introducing resources. GAD has formed a team of more than 100 teachers from home and abroad, mainly through integrating professors from Art colleges and universities at home and overseas, front-line experts from enterprises and full-time teachers. Over 90% of teachers have master's degrees or above; over 70% have a business background, and over 80% have overseas study experience. At present, under the organizational modes of classes taught in Chinese and English, multiple educational strategies such as school-enterprise cooperation practice project workshops, exchange student programmes, international workshops, enterprise workshops, international study tours, and lectures by experts at home and abroad have become the norm of teaching and learning. A more complete system and operational norms have been formed for internationalized schooling in GAD.

○校企合作 University-Industry Cooperation
学校极力推进与行业深度合作实践教学。采取了联手企业院所,并以工作室的方式聘请行业一线专家和专职教师一道以项目及问题为导向组织教学;已经与广东顺德创新设计研究院及工业设计城、雅昌、思特科技、中国天眼、央视、达索等近百家国内外企业建立合作关系,并建立较系统的实践教学计划。设置了大一学年暑假社会认知调研实践课程。大二学年末行业调研实践课程(期末1个月),让学生了解企业运行规律和行业资源,认知本专业在企业中的核心价值,定位自己未来发展方向。大三学年将企业成功案例或开发性项目引入校内实践课程或工作室教学,并聘请业界专家和专职教师一道组织教学和研发,强化学生将知识、技能结合到实际项目中进行转化应用和探索创新。大四学年结合毕业设计实践组织学生进入企业实习实践3-5个月,让学生深度体验真实项目调研、策划、设计以及市场推广与运营等系统性能力需求和综合应用方式;为高质量就业做准备。过程中学生大量的设计方案被企业采用,大大提升了学生的积极性,激发了学生的创造力。校内联合工、商、文其它学科专业,探索跨专业工作室课题实践教学;系统地创新实践教学,为高质量就业和出国深造提供了保障。
GAD strongly promotes in-depth co-operation with the industry for practical teaching. It has adopted the approach of joining hands with enterprises and institutes and employing front-line industry experts and full-time teachers in the form of workshops to organize teaching in a project & problem-oriented manner; It has already established cooperative relationships with nearly 100 domestic and international enterprises such as Guangdong Shunde Innovative Design Institute and Industrial Design City, Artron, China's Eye in the Sky, CCTV, Dassault, and so on, and set up a more systematic practical teaching programme. A social cognitive research practice course has also been set up in the summer vacation of the freshman year. The industry research practice course at the end of the sophomore school year (one month at the end of the term) allows students to understand the operating rules of enterprises and industry resources, to recognize the core competitiveness within enterprises, and to position themselves for future development. In the junior school year, case studies of successful development projects are introduced into the school courses and teaching, and industry experts and full-time teachers are invited to organize teaching, research, and development, in order to strengthen students' knowledge and develop their skillset in regard to practical projects, application, exploration and innovation. In the fourth academic year, students are required to intern in enterprises for 3-5 months, so as to experience graduation design practice and experience the requirements and methods of real project research, planning, design, marketing and operations, which will prepare them for high-quality employment in the future. During the process, a large number of students' design solutions are adopted by enterprises, which greatly enhances students' motivation and stimulates their creativity. GAD unites with other disciplines of engineering, business and arts, and explores the systematic and innovative practical teaching of inter-disciplinary studio, providing students with a guarantee of high-quality employment and further study abroad.

○国际合作 International Cooperation
2017年加入联合国唯一认证的国际艺术设计院校联盟(Cumulus),现与国外47所大学建立合作关系,2016年启动视觉传达英文班教学,2018年启动环境设计英文班教学,计划2024年启动数字媒体艺术、产品设计专业英文班教学。
1.英文授课班项目特点
■ 采用国际课程计划,为学生未来留学提供课程对接保障。
■ 聘请外教参与专业核心课程教学。
■ 英语教学,采用专门的雅思英语教学计划,外教和中教联合授课。
■ 本科双学位获取,修完计划内课程、并在国外学习一年以上,达到国外院校学位学分要求,将同时获取外国院校学士学位。根据学生英语水平提升情况,采用“1+3”“2+2”“3+1”分批出国学习。
■ 2016级英文班学生专业课 100% 通过欧盟外考官审核,100% 学生参加国内外赛事并获奖,大三学年学生英语通过雅思 5.5 达到 87%,学生去往欧洲 9 所国际高校攻读双学位,双学位率达90%,硕士录取率达57%。历年来英文班学生出国考研深造录取率达50% 以上,主要考取英国皇家艺术学院、伦敦艺术大学、都柏林理工大学、英国南安普顿大学、悉尼大学、美国萨凡纳艺术学院、芝加哥艺术学院等数十所名校。
2. 伊拉斯谟(Erasmus Programme+)免学费交换生欧盟项目:时长为一个学期。
3. 国际工作坊游学项目:时长为 10-15 天,联合国际艺术类高校在世界各地举办主题工作坊教学。
GAD joined the only UN-accredited International Consortium of Art and Design Schools (Cumulus) in 2017 and has now formally established cooperation with 47 foreign universities. It started classes taught in English for the Visual Communication Design in 2016 and the Environmental Design in 2018. It is planned to start classes taught in English in Digital Media Arts and Product Design in 2024.
1. Features of the programme taught in English
■ Adopt an internationally accredited curriculum, providing students with the foundation for future study abroad.
■ Employ foreign teachers to participate in the teaching of the professional core courses.
■ Teach jointly in English by foreign teachers and Chinese teachers with special IELTS English teaching plans.
■ Obtain undergraduate double degree upon completing the programme and studying abroad for more than one year. Students who meet the degree credit requirements of foreign institutions will simultaneously obtain the bachelor's degree of the foreign institutions. According to the improvement of students' English level, "1+3", "2+2" and "3+1" will be adopted to study abroad in batches.
■ 100% of the students from the 2016 Visual Communication International class passed the EU External Examiner's examination, 100% participated in domestic and international competitions and won awards, and 87% passed IELTS 5.5 in their third year. Students have gone to 9 international universities in Europe to pursue double degrees, with a double degree rate of 90% and a master's degree acceptance rate of 57%. Over the years, the acceptance rate of students in classes taught in English who have gone abroad for graduate studies has reached more than 50%, who were mainly admitted to dozens of famous schools such as Royal College of Art, University of the Arts London, Dublin Institute of Technology, University of Southampton, University of Sydney, Savannah College of the Arts, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and so on.
