9月26日, 耿丹国际设计学院产品设计专业在首饰楼一层举行结课汇报暨 “公益产品设计”阶段课程展。本次展览作品由产品16-1班的学生创作，陈丽君老师指导，展览了近30名学生的10组模型作品。
Guided by instructor Chen Lijun, the students from Class 16-1 in product design programme of GAD held a “Welfare product design” on the first floor of Jewelry Studio on September 26th , which showed 10 sets of model works of nearly 30 students.

本次课程立足于中国乃至全球人口老龄化趋势下，社会面临着养老带来的巨大挑战与压力，通过对相关公益产品设计的案例分析、知识点讲解、作业练习等方式，指导学生研究老年人的生活模式和生活需求，设计老年人使用的相关产品。同学们首先针对老年人的产品做了充分的市场调研后确立了设计主题，并经过多次的方案修改制作了能够帮助老年人改进生活质量的一系列产品，并进行了现场汇报。
This course is based on the trend of population aging in China and the world, under this circumstance, the society is facing the enormous challenges and stresses brought from this issue. Through relevant public welfare product design case analysis, academic knowledge explanation, assignments exercises and etc.,students are guided to study the life style and demands of the elderly and design the relevant products. The students surveyed a sufficient market research on the products for the aged and then established the design theme. After many revisions of the project, they made a series of products which can improve their quality of life.

Welfare product design course is an applied course of product design programme that focuses on cultivating students’ design ability and laying a solid foundation for further study.
