GAD students visit Photography Biennale Exhibition

On October 12, all the students of Grade 16 and 17 of GAD, led by the instructor Li Xiaoye, visited the third Beijing International Photography Biennale named “Mixed Public and Privacy”.

本次展览围绕摄影的社会性、公共性和私密性互相混合的复杂话题，探讨它在公共与私密这一充满张力的过程中所扮演的角色及其产生的意义。传递并呈现出当代摄影家、艺术家围绕历史与社会现实、艺术及自我主体所展开的既严肃又深入地思考。李小耶老师就本次展览讲解了当代艺术摄影的赏析方法，在构图，色彩，拍摄角度，拍摄理念等多方面对作品进行详细分析，指导同学们如何进行题目定位，以及如何展现作品价值。李小耶老师还对策展、布展等相关问题为同学们进行深入的讲述。

This exhibition focuses on the complex mix of sociality, publicity and privacy of photography, and explores its role and significance in the tension between public and private photography. It conveys and presents the serious and deep thinking of contemporary photographers and artists about history and social reality; art and self-subject. The instructor Li Xiaoye explained the appreciation method of contemporary art photography on this exhibition. He analyzed the works in details in composition, color, shooting angle, shooting concept and so on. He instructed students how to locate the topic and how to show the value of the works. The instructor Li Xiaoye also discussed the relationship between exhibition and other related issues for the students in depth.
