GAD A history of architecture course show

 

 

4月4日，耿丹国际设计学院环境设计专业在艺术楼一层大厅举办“外国建筑史”课程结课汇报展，由赵一诺、赵芳芳、王墨涵老师指导，以“外国著名建筑”为主题，展出了环境17级125名学生的手绘和模型作品。 

On April 4, the hand-painted and model works on the theme of “Famous Foreign Architecture” by 125 students of year 17 from the Environmental Design Programme of Gengdan Academy of Design were exhibited in the first-floor lobby of the Art Building. This is an exhibition of the course “History of Foreign Architecture” under the guidance of teachers Zhao Yinuo, Zhao Fangfang and Wang Mohan. 

 

“外国建筑史”课程是环艺专业的基础核心课程，培养学生对外国建筑的宏观印象，使学生了解外国建筑历史的基本脉络、风格流派及代表人物、代表性建筑等，使学生获取建筑知识的同时能够从建筑发展的历史进程中进行相关问题的独立思考，探究外国的文化内涵和艺术精髓。

“History of Foreign Architecture” is the basic core course of Environmental Design Programme. It aims to cultivate students’ general impression of foreign architecture, equip them with the basic context, style schools, representative figures and buildings of foreign architecture history, and enable students to acquire architectural knowledge. Meanwhile, students are able to think independently about the historical development of architecture and explore the foreign cultural connotation and essence of art.

本次课程展开多种形式教学：利用泥塑和3D打印等多种方式制作模型，使学生能够快速而立体的认知欧洲古建的结构体系；集体到首都博物馆观看“巴洛克：重生”艺术展，使学生对巴洛克艺术风格有了更加全面而生动的认识；组织学生到图书馆学习查阅历史文献，教师指导学生利用文献资料完成调研作业等。

This course offers various forms of teaching. Mud sculpture and 3D printing were used to make models so that students can quickly recognize the structural system of ancient European architecture. The exhibition of “Silesia Rediviva” at the Capital Museum of China provided students with a more comprehensive and vivid understanding of Baroque’s artistic style. Students also consulted historical documents in the library and complete research assignments under teachers’ instruction.

本次课程激发了学生的专业兴趣，掌握了查找资料、分析归纳、对比总结、模型制作等能力，并形成独立的见解，为后面的专业学习奠定基础。

This course stimulates students’ interest, trains their ability of searching for information, analyzing and inducing, comparing and summarizing, model making skill, and forming independent opinions, which will lay the foundation for future study.
