Investigation of PageOne Bookstore by Teachers and Students of GAD and College of Humanities

 

 

3月5日，耿丹国际设计学院杨凯老师带领人文学院16级汉语教育文创方向学生考察了PageOne书店。

On March 5, the instructor Yang Kai of GAD led students from Grade 16 of Humanities College to visit PageOne Bookstore.  

激烈讨论 Heated discussions

 

PageOne书店位于北京三里屯，成立于1983年，总部在新加坡，以销售设计类图书、英文原版书以及繁体中文图书为特色，目前在泰国、台湾、北京国贸、望京也有相关分店。此次调研是“平面设计技能”课程的实践教学，目的是使汉语教育专业学生在本专业学科以外，了解无所不在的艺术设计元素，通过学科之间的交融碰撞，建立了同学们多角度的立体思维方式。师生们从“用不同学科间交叉的思维来思考生活中有趣的符号”和“揣摩符号背后的设计构思”出发展开热烈的讨论并进行实践调研。

PageOne Bookstore is located in Sanlitun, Beijing. It was founded in 1983 and headquartered in Singapore. It sells design books, original English books and traditional Chinese books. It also has branches in Thailand, Taiwan, Beijing International Trade and Wangjing. This survey is a practical teaching of “Graphic Design Skills” course. The purpose is to enable Chinese education students to understand the ubiquitous elements of art design beyond their own major disciplines. Through the blending and collision between disciplines, students have established a three-dimensional thinking mode from multiple perspectives. Teachers and students start from “thinking about interesting symbols in life with cross-disciplinary thinking” and “figuring out the design concept behind symbols” to launch a heated discussion and conduct practical research.

学生们通过书本理论与实践考察相结合的方式，从设计的符号、元素、理念等多方面了解了以PageOne书店为代表的文化艺术行业，开拓了视野，提高了学习兴趣，为学生们的设计指引了方向。

Through the combination of Book Theory and practical investigation, students understand the cultural and artistic industry represented by PageOne Bookstore from the aspects of design symbols, elements and concepts, broaden their horizons, increase their interest in learning, and guide the direction of students’design.

耿丹国际设计学院位于北京顺义。开设有视传、环艺、产品、数媒、动画、戏美，国际艺术设计院校联盟会员。其中80%以上的教师曾海外学习，数专业开设国际双学位项目，已与国际百所大学交流并与42所大学建立合作。
